What sparked your imagination as a kid?

For me, going to the fair as a kid was always something really special.

I loved it: the colorful lights, the smell of roasted almonds, that tickling in your stomach when the Breakdance started spinning – and the loud music that seemed to follow you everywhere.

A little crazy. Quite kitschy.

But that exact feeling is what I want to bring into the world of art and creativity.

Kunstkirmes, in my mind, is a place where creativity whirls like a carousel or goes up and down like a rollercoaster. A place where kids can experiment – brave, loud, quiet, chaotic, playful. Where young people can find their own voice – free from pressure, with room for doubts and ideas. Where they can feel safe, supported, seen, and heard. Where youthful curiosity transforms into a creative mindset.

A place where every creation is as unique as that unforgettable moment at the fair.

I guide children and young people to discover their own creative processes – with age-appropriate concepts, sustainable materials, and a clear focus on cultural and aesthetic education. It’s about guiding them toward art, teaching foundational skills that help them shape their ideas, make choices, and work mindfully with materials.

In designing each workshop, I include pedagogical approaches from Education for Sustainable Development (ESD):
🌱 What does it mean to reuse materials?
🌍 How is my daily life connected to the lives of others – here and around the world?
🔍 How can I make choices that are good not just for me, but for others too?

I want Kunstkirmes to be a space where anything goes:

Courage, color, glitter, inspiration.

And all the things you can’t plan – just feel.
